Our Purpose - Health Site Guide

Health Site Guide is a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use “portal” that makes it easy for you to find healthcare information from leading healthcare information websites. We’ve done the searching, site by site, so you can get the information you need faster and usually in greater detail. We understand that millions of people visit the Internet with healthcare related questions. Each has his or her own level of anxiety and many don’t always find the answers they seek. Instead they spend too much time reviewing the results of keywords they’ve used in search engines; and sometimes come away frustrated or questioning what they’ve read. Health Site Guide changes that; we’ve done the work, so you can get the answers.

Our drop down menus (upper left) give you a professional overview of more than two dozen websites. Special Features lets you find video, animation, healthcare encyclopedias, drug information nursing home reviews and much more with direct links to pages on relevant sites. Health Site Guide also makes it easier to locate healthcare information with “Health Concerns” featuring over 800 links that address a wide range of needs.

Health Site Guide also lets you rate and review sites you’ve visited and read what other visitors have to say. Join for free and participate in Forums, create your own Blog, interact with others and much more.

Health Site Guide was developed by Internet marketing personnel, and contains information provided by third party sites, that Health Site Guide has organized into an easy-to-use portal. Individuals, who are not employed by Health Site Guide and earn a portion of their income as science and healthcare writers and editors, are used to create the website overviews, and research the health concerns and special features contained on the various health websites included on this portal. No full-time medical personnel were used in the design and development of Health Site Guide.

Health Site Guide was launched May 24, 2006 and is updated daily.

Health Site Guide is privately funded. It does not receive any monies from companies that appear on the portal. The site does not receive any money from advertising or the display of commercial content, but may allow advertising, which will be clearly marked, in the future.
